The Reagan pilferage will only make entitlements bend further
ADMIN
They still won't break. Reagan should never have done that, and imo is the worst thing he ever did. HE began the unchecked budget spending that proliferated into the massive debt and deficit we face now. We had a governor (Owens) who eyed our PERA, a well managed state run retirement system for public employees, for bailing out his deficit and debt spending with a request to borrow with intent to pay back. We resouncingly told him "Hands off! That's OUR money. We're NOT bailing YOU out of the trouble YOU cause with OUR money." His defeat was followed by the string of Democrat governors under whose leadership Colorado has conservatively prospered. Polis recently signed a bill protecting private land owners from injury lawsuits, opening the way for among other things, access to the high peaks, closed due to that specific risk. Two mountains remain closed; Bross and Lindsey. Hopefully the new law will motivate their owners to again allow access. Bross is possible. Lindsey imo is not. It is owned by Steve Forbes who doesn't care. 14,180' Mtr Bross 14,050' Mt Lindsey
