The government has $0 of its own to give away for free.

Every $ the government has is provided by the people who involuntarily pay because they are forced to pay.

All these "free" services will be forced upon other people against their will solely because it is deemed by the government that they have the ability to pay.

The government is a spendthrift institution which spends according to political advantage, not really giving a damn about the constituents.

It's all about votes.

Furthermore, they have voted themselves some of the highest salaries for equivalent work performed. No real sense of "service" there. It's just an easier job for low energy blokes.
