Large numbers of people fled Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, and Cuba. People weren’t shot at Checkpoint Charlie on the Berlin Wall for escaping from West Germany to East Germany. South Koreans aren’t making life threatening mad dashes to escape Into North Korea.
People in general long for freedom. There may not be any purely capitalist systems in existence. But it is clear (to me anyway) that large doses of free markets benefit any nation. You have a point that a mix of both systems have benefits in some circumstances. I prefer those benefits be determined by millions of free and voluntary decisions, rather than the decisions of a handful of ruling elite.
