Automotive parts chains folding across the US. First Brands in bankruptcy. Advance Auto closes 700 stores. You can't sell parts to owners of modern vehicles that only a high-paid mechanic can work on. No more changing sparkplugs, points, condensers, distributor caps, timing belts, grinding valves, fuel pumps, fuel filters, fan belts, alternators, A/C compressors, coolant, tranny fluid, oil, flushing radiators, grease guns, etc. I have a whole slew of nice automotive tools sitting in retirement in a beautiful, shiny blue 5-drawer Kobalt tool chest: timing light, dwell meter, sparkplug wrenches, distributor wrenches, feeler gauges, oil filter wrenches, grease gun, you name it. The last vehicle that I could service was a 1977 BMW 320i. Maybe I'll shop around and find a '57 Chevy Bel Air or a '67 Vette to putter on.
High interest, high prices, tighter credit, lower demand, 165,000 job losses in auto industry. Ugly cars and SUVs, useless gadgets driving up cost.
I predict a lot of EV-related businesses will tank.
Remember when I said Baker Electric went bankrupt in 1915. What goes around comes around.
Better keep that IC.
Walgreens bought out by Sycamore Partners for $10B. Hmmm ... Rite Aid just closed 3 months ago after 2 bankruptcies. What's up in the drugstore chain business. Is Amazon stealing a big share of that market too. What doesn't Amazon put to death?
Multi-Billion$ fraud in Minnesota widespread. Possible involvement of Tampon Timmy and dreadful Somali Queen Omar, whose net worth mysteriously rocketed wildly the past couple of years. Lots of Somalis arrested for fraud involvement. Round 'em all and deport 'em back to "NoGoodIssue" as far as I'm concerned. Citizens already asking for resignation of Tampon Timmy. More to come. Minnesota has become another rogue state, along with California, Illinois, and New York.
Amazon just laid off 30,000 techies as a result of AI. AI massive investment is probably just another dot.com bubble. We'll see.
More bad news to come. Don't blame it on Trump. These industries did it to themselves.
