Years ago, back when I was a working stiff, I recall seeing Concorde occasionally making a great sweeping turn as it descended into Dulles (and our offices were located out in Germantown, Maryland, just 15 miles out as the crow flies). It was a bit louder than the conventional DC-10s, L-1011s, and 747s we'd see on similar descent patterns, but certainly not deafening (but then one wouldn't expect it to be loud on descent anyway). A lovely airplane, for sure.
