Re: A Dalliance...
Terrific job on the Zero, Sarge; a nice presentation of one of Japan's fighters of WWII. One of these days I'll get back to the stacks of unbuilt kits here. I used to have a mate in Japan (actually he's still there, I just don't hear from him much) that used to send me little 1/144-scale airplane "kits" and 1/64-scale car kits. I think they were premiums at his local liquor outlet, lol. Anyway, just one Zero in the lot, a kit I assembled probably 15 years ago. Not much to them as they come prepainted (thankfully), but you have to cut them off sprues, touch 'em up, assemble them, then apply the decals (if not prepainted). I usually gave them a shot of clear matte lacquer before cementing the canopy in place, an effort to take a bit of the gloss off the decals. They are terrific little models if you can find them. The one thing I can't stand about them, which is a "feature" of many modern-era kits these days, are the exaggerated panel lines; these, of course, would not exist on the actual aircraft for obvious reasons.
