Complex airbrushing
Here is an example of what I meant regarding airbrushing and painting practice. Its very much like taking the Spit or the Midget out to practice driving race cars. Staying sharp rather than letting the skills atrophy. Its very relaxing, too; bacon for the soul. On this simple aeroplane model I'm mixing colours by eye, mottling, blending, masking, resetting the brush for various patterns, all those things you forget after using an airbrush only as a miniature spraygun painting railway models. I really enjoy this stuff. It calms me down. By the way, fear not. There is a late mark Griffin-powered Spit in this series. It's ready to decal as I write this.
