Osteoarthritis?

Take heart, mate. It is by far and away the most common form of arthritis and there probably isn't one in 100 of pensioners' age that avoids it.

While it truly sucks we are no longer 30-ish, that bit is about as inevitable as grey (or no) hair. You're in excellent company. Me!

As far as faerie-piss beer, the list is endless over here. GRIN! Probably the worst was this stuff that came out of Pittsburgh (a steel center with the usual water pollution history) called Iron City Beer. Iron City was truly bad, but they sold a budget beer called Gibbons, and it was too weak to be called awful.

Now you put me in mind of what Terry Wogan said about Guinness, "As soon as I could afford to drink something else, I did."
