I think it also speaks to the hypocrisy and goals of this 'movement' of theirs to create a privileged or elitist class (while decrying 'the liberal elites') by yielding to an oligarchy or regime that is based on shallowness (like looks, 'gold' or money), rather than merit and ethics.

The irony is that this regime is doing all this cutting of "DEI hires" and "waste, fraud and abuse" while they replace qualified people with those who are unqualified but willing to yield and compromise ethics for their own personal gain.
