if some people who become bullies were victims of bullying themselves as a child?

I had never even heard of Kirk before his assassination, but many say that he was a bully on the debate stage. I read that one man claimed that Kirk bullied him so relentlessly in high school that he nearly lost his will to live.

Makes me wonder if both Trump and Kirk were bullied when they were young, and maybe that contributed to them becoming bullies? Looking at pictures of both Trump and Kirk as younger men, I don't think either one was very attractive really, but that's just IMO. It's a shame that anyone ever gets bullied because of their looks.
