in fall of 2000. We did a roadtrip through the Himalayas from Kathmandu to Lhasa Tibet. It was before digital cameras, phones, etc. At one point we had to go on foot around a landslide over the road, hike up a steep hill with all our belongings including bottled water, etc, and pile into the bed of a big truck to continue up some steep narrow mountain roads to where we then met our guides and three suburban type vehicles to continue on a 5 day road trip through the mountains to Lhasa. Flew back to Kathmandu from Lhasa flying right by the peak of Mt Everest. Trip of a lifetime.
