Yes, 603 covers many counties, or at least it has done up until now. It would cover even more when Radio 4 in Newcastle turns off on the same channel. I was up in the Lincolnshire area at the weekend and can still get 603 from Kent up there which is five counties away from it's service area. It's listed on frequency finder as being only 100 watts but has always seemed more like half a kilowatt !
