It is a good installation Freddie as you say with a fairly tall monopole radiator but I wouldn't describe it as being that near the Sea. It's about 2 miles East of Canterbury with the nearest sea at Herne bay around 6 miles to the north. I suppose it does have a pretty good open sea path North out into the Thames estuary though as it's on fairly high ground so would account for the almost local signal here in Essex and way beyond. With BBC Radio Kent long gone from the same site that one will be for demolition once it is closed for sure, sadly. Would make a good regional AM outlet for anybody interested but doubt OFCOM would even consider licensing anything else on Medium wave.
