Sadly Mike, the Gulf of Bothnia is ice-bound for long stretches of the year, and both Russki and NATO air forces are itching to find new ideas for target practice. I believe there is a squadron of RAF from Lossiemouth stationed in the Baltic States as part of the eastern defences, who fly daily sorties along there? Plus the population density around those parts is not great; as Finland, Estonia , Latvia and Lithuania all permit commercial radio, I'd say there is little market for a station.

Of similar interest is the area east of Cyprus, but with things 'warming up' again in Lebanon and the incessant turmoil over the drilling rights on the seabed there, I cant see anyone risking an expensive ship and assets to broadcast from those waters anytime soon.

It needs a reason and a market to attract the necessary funding. It's those which are in short supply these days, other than the potential locations.


As for t'other feller, he twists and distorts facts so much, he is surely so immaterial and irrelevant I doubt he has any fans or friends left? Life is too short for venom and hate. Caroline's own Mike Hagler warned us of this in his LA / DA messages back in the 70s.
