I wonder if you’re right, I would probably never know as ours was bought in 1939.

I know that my mother in law had considered buying one but they were too small (not enough bedrooms) for parents and 4 daughters and a bit too far from their work places.

In the back of my mind the cost of a two bedroom was £290 in 1939. Never been able to verify that though.
