I’m sure next door to Norman was Dessie and Reuben Warwick. Always used their shop. Maggie O’Roake was further done and the fruit shop as Ned Danby. Across the road were two sets of semi’s with a large space between them. There was a field at the back of the house’s I note in later years they built another two semi detached houses. I wonder what happened to the land behind them. In one of the semi’s lived Mr and Mrs Auchtalonie and the had one son who was a keen cyclist. That was in the early 1950’s.
