But in the New Testament, anyone can.

P.S. these are still new testament times we are living in, so .. it's on you. He's already given us all a connection, and that would be His Son Jesus.

The verse I'm referring to is from the Bible, specifically Revelation 3:20 (King James Version):

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."

These words are spoken by Jesus Christ in a letter to the church of Laodicea, as conveyed through the Apostle John in the book of Revelation. It's about Jesus offering a personal relationship to those who are willing to open their hearts to Him.
