This is not a statement regarding my opinion of the nature of those comments. I am pointing out what your reaction to them was. You didn't ignore them. I will go as far to say you didn't find them 'annoying'.

Even if a comment is not posted directly to a person, and doesn't mention a person by name, that person is included when the comment is about a group that said person belongs.

Occasional rude comments can be ignored. However, when those comments become a matter of habit, it really isn't easy to ignore, especially in a public forum which this is.

At one time we had more posters here, and quality posters. I recognize that people move on for many reasons, but there were complaints about the nature of some of the posts that were routinely submitted. We have lost good posters due to the 'ground to air' noise.

You did at one time include proselytizing in your description of the board at the top of the front page.You stated that this was not a place to proselytize (I don't have a direct quote.). I don't know why it is no longer there. I suggest you reconsider.
