The old MSNBC board said "This is not a place to preach, pray, or proselytize "

When I made this board I kept that line from MSNBC, but changed later. That line seemed like posting advice, and not a rule. I could put it back as a board description, not a rule. I found the prologue from this board on MSNBC 24 years ago: " The Religion and Ethics Issues Welcome to the Religion and Ethics discussion board. This is a place to discuss matters of faith, ethics and morality. It is designed to be a forum for people of all faiths -- or no faith at all -- to talk about belief systems. This is not a place to preach, pray, or proselytize (seek to convert others). Rather, it is a forum to share insights about how beliefs shape human behavior. Please read and understand our Terms of Service, as well. We hope you will enjoy the discussions. If you have any questions, or wish to report violations, please send the URL of the post in question to BBS@MSNBC.com." https://web.archive.org/web/20011207131426/http://bbs.msnbc.com/bbs/msnbc-faith/index.asp
