Jimmy Kimmel will return to his late-night show on Tuesday, The Walt Disney Co., the parent company of ABC, said in a statement on Monday.

"Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country. It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive," the company said in a statement. "We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday."

The network previously announced on Sept. 17 that Kimmel's show would be preempted "indefinitely."

Kimmel was suspended due to his comments.

ABC & Disney both admitted it. If they tried to back pedal on this (I haven't seen anything yet stating that they have BTW), especially after the backlash started, that speaks poorly of their credibility.

An attempt on Trump's life (and yes, I do not support the idea that it was staged by Trump) does not give Trump a license to lie. The least he can do is retract his statement and call off his dogs. That will not happen as Trump is continuing forward with his threats to ABC. It is very obvious that Trump is pressuring ABC to fire Kimmel.

I repeat: "Before the network's decision was announced last week, Carr suggested that Kimmel should be suspended over the comments." And who is Carr? A Trump appointee. Ted Cruz even came out and said Carr was talking like a "Mafioso" and his threat was right out of Goodfellas. It's hard to believe Carr isn't aware of Trump's attitude towards Kimmel and that it hasn't influenced him. After all, he has Trump to thank for his current job.

I repeat my question: The charge against Kimmel was lying. If you (or anyone else) believes that suspension of his show was deserved, what does Trump deserve for his lie? A pass?? I don't think so. That's unequal justice, which isn't justice at all.

The pregnant women were taking Tylenol to protest Trump's claim that taking Tylenol is dangerous to the unborn. Obviously they wouldn't be downing Tylenol if they believed him. Pregnant women should consult their doctors on this. . . NOT Trump.

The 'right' is no better than the 'left'. There is emotionalism, false accusations, finger pointing, hate, and anger coming from both sides and aimed at the other side. It is why I refuse to align with either party. Partisan politics will never unite a people.
