 Previous Message basically it continually circulates hot water through the house so avoid this issue. It can be set to run on a schedule if need be. Had to do this for our tankless heater. Previous Message and they put it in the basement near the rear wall to make the exhaust shorter. but the water line goes through more than half the basement before going up, so hot water takes a LONG time to come out of the faucet, even moreso in winter (we are talking about minutes of wasted water/gas). currently have a tank that is over 20 years old. i've drained it and that helped a bit but i think it's time for a new one.
