Still some good laughs and hit on some of the emotional moments, including the very last scene, but other parts had the feel of a show that has become a bit too commercialized and/or trying too hard to do what people expect it to do. The portions that were just a paid KC tourism ad that Sudekis clearly negotiated for were just kind of weird.

Reality is that it’s a show that was always going to have a hard time replicating the magic of the 1st season, since the central plot point behind the show was one that would only work for one season. It’s still good and I’ll watch all of it, but it’s never going to be able to fully replicate the COVID-era Schitt’s Creek type of positive vibes that we all so desperately needed at the time.
