GOT to me fell off earlier than most others because I think the issues really starting showing up in season 5 and 6.
HOTD was pretty good for the first 5 or 6 episodes of season 1 IMO. Even if they did take some liberties but then they decide to really just move away from the source material and it's faltered hard imo.
The best show has been the one most faithful to the source material which is A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
Don't take offense, better make amends
