I don’t know what direction her character ultimately goes into since I haven’t read the books, but I appreciate the show learning from the lessons of how Dany was handled and showing us the slow burn of Rhaenyra’s descent into whatever form of madness/corrupted power is in her future. Whatever is to come will definitely feel more earned. Only problem is that there doesn’t seem to be anyone to really root for at this point, other than I guess Daeron?

Sucks to see Ormund go because he was the shit heel that the show had been lacking, but lol at his death scene. Talk about a double whammy.

And pretty amusing to see good old Ulf just go full LEEROY JENKINS on their asses.
