Another local distillery looking for a city space for the cost of assuming their lease obligations. So, the other two distillers I worked with were hired by this new company to bring it back online and run it. It was strictly a margin contribution call. The new (now former) guy had a plan for the margins each brand had to contribute and we didn’t clear that threshold. They were lofty and possible for agency brands but not for craft producers. So they walked. None of that dude’s plan materialized so he was “walked” earlier this week. Poor plan performance, employee exodus and no goodwill earned got him a pretty quick hook.
