with the his established personality. it's actually a great example of remarkable pacing from one episode to another of transitioning the hero of the overall arc from one character to another.

in the gentlemen, i can see the argument for hallucinations as setting up an out of character action, but it was terribly abrupt. even eddie's legal/illegal plan to expand the market was pragmatic and reasoned.

labor suggests a strategy to increase production and instead of considering if it makes sense he follows susie's advice and provides a take-it-or-leave it counter then uses intimidation to cower the rest of the crew. while we learn that jimmy is experimenting with new products on the workers (and maybe with eddie, since he's hallucinating).

also, jimmy got suckered in the first season and caused them way more loss, but they decided to keep him.
