didn't care for it. S1 had enough moments to keep me watching. I was hoping it would find its groove starting in S2 similar to how The Office and Parks & Rec did after a season or two.

this season didn't really go anywhere. The characters didn't become any more likeable, in fact some became less likeable. The storylines weren't really funny. The main character (Ned) keeps making dumb, bumbling mistakes that that aren't funny nor do they make you want to root for him.

It seemed like they made a point to write things for Esmerelda that were away from the rest of the cast (maybe because they have no clue how to fix her character). The storyline with Esmerelda showing up at her kid's school and making up a story that she's an adult woman who thinks she's a teenage boy was just idiotic. I can suspend a bit of disbelief, but I couldn't even accept that any principal would allow that to happen (even in a world that included all the shit Michael Scott got into on The Office).

And the season ending was annoying (I won't totally spoil it). Just have them talk.
