Assuming HQ, the Residence Inn off of 53rd St is the closest nice hotel, but there's not much around that isn't chain restaurants.
Nothing at all by the airport (Hampton/HIE).
Downtown Moline, you've got the Axis and the Element, which are repurposed older buildings that have been turned into hotels. Haven't stayed at either, but I've been told that they're nice. Both are a little bit of a walk from the downtown breweries and restaurants, but they're not your normal boring chain hotels. Element has a Pour Brothers onsite. You also have a Wyndham and a Stoney Creek that are right in the middle of everything. 10 minutes or so to HQ from any of those.
They Hyatt properties in the Bend are newer, great views, but there's very little around them. One brewery (best kolsch I've ever had) and a couple of small restaurants.
Bally's Casino in SW Rock Island is pretty nice, and it's 20 minutes away. Plenty of restaurants on the property, but nothing at all around it.
Not much else of note on the Illinois side.
Downtown Davenport has 3 or 4 nice hotels with bars and restaurants around. There's a Doubletree, Hotel Blackhawk, and Current (last two are older properties updated....Current has a really nice rooftop bar). Add 10 minutes to your drive.
Lots of hotels along I-74 on the Iowa side on Elmore Avenue and off of Utica Ridge in Bettendorf. Plenty of restaurants around them, most of them chains.
Isle of Capri Casino is on the river just off I-74. Again, lots of restaurants on the property, and there's actually stuff around it in downtown Bettendorf.
Rhythm City Casino is new, but it's way out of your way on the north side of Davenport.
PM for more info.

I took a new job that will have me staying 1-2 nights a week in town starting January.
Work location will be close to (but not at) John Deere. Initial thoughts would be to stay at the newer Hyatt properties by Bend, but looking for recommendations. Want to be reasonably cost conscious, so maybe will negotiate with the Element if decidedly better.
