I didn't get to downtown Davenport, which seems to add another 5 minutes Archived Message

The real question is will I be able to convince mrs. 75 to let me join Davenport CC. This would also support that the area by I74 is closest. 5 - 10 years ago, downtown areas likely would have appealed more, but now I'd prefer not to give myself any incentive to have an extra drink after dinner and just get my sleep and workout in the morning more regularly. Maybe it's because as I get older, I need the extra sleep and will skip workout if I'm out past 9:30.
Previous Message I liked all these places, and there are many more too. Front Street Pub Armored Gardens (100 beers on tap) Sippi’s Bar and Grill Stompbox Brewing The Phoenix (didn’t eat there but looks like a place for a nicer dinner, just had a drink and they had amazing martinis) Previous Message It feels like a 14 minute drive to the Hampton next to the Cinemark in Davenport is better than the 10 minute drive to Element downtown Moline to have access to a few more restaurants (Barrel House, Pints, R Bar, Granit City, Ridge, BW3, Bad Boys, golf simulators). I assume downtown Moline would be a bit better on weekends, but it felt a bit depressing and I could see Tuesday or Wednesday nights being better off across the river. Previous Message I took a new job that will have me staying 1-2 nights a week in town starting January. Work location will be close to (but not at) John Deere. Initial thoughts would be to stay at the newer Hyatt properties by Bend, but looking for recommendations. Want to be reasonably cost conscious, so maybe will negotiate with the Element if decidedly better. Any recommendations overall?
