I’m fully aware of who we have, who’s hurt and who we have (and haven’t) selected to bring in at running back. I thought we were short there before the season and I think the same now. I don’t get why a coach whose best successes have come with solid running backs and lines would be here three years in. That’s it.

other than a converted linebacker playing a few plays. I guess I’d expect we’d be able to do better than that three years into a program. especially from a guy who purportedly hangs his hat on the running game.

if we shut down the run they will really struggle to move the ball, but they are an Ok running team and have had their moments on the ground. to give an idea of how bad they are at passing it, they are only completing about 13 passes a game for 140 yards at about a 55% completion rate. if we can keep them in 3rd and long it will be a long day for their O.
i think this game is basically a toss up. if either team can go up 7-0 early or gets a two score lead at any point i think it gets tough for the other one to win.
