Son still fighting the grind in lower level college baseball. Daughter had Covid kill her passion...Archived Message

Covid hit her junior year in HS and wiped out softball season.
She was a VERY good multi sport athlete, had been invited to try out for the USA National Women's baseball team before it got canceled. In '20-'21 for her senior year she gave up on sports altogether and with basketball and softball running concurrently that year, she finally got talked into playing her senior year hoops, but it just wasn't the same. Sad thing was she would have killed at water polo (but marching band conflicted) and in my opinion, her best sport was soccer where she was an outstanding keeper.
After 2 years in JC, she is now happily at her #1 college choice and doing great even with no major sports. She is playing intramural flag football and may play club basketball.
Things change for sure. I miss her involvement in higher level sports but it is not about me. I want her healthy (physically and mentally), happy, and hopefully successful.
