As always, this is 9yr old soccer so...it doesnt matter.
Our club has 3 levels of teams A, B, and C. Last year there was one team each level, nice and easy stuff. They had a huge influx of kids for this year, so there is now 1 A, 2B, 2C.
When they sent out rosters, it looked to us returning parents like it was clear which one of the B teams was supposed to be a bit stronger. One of the parents that thinks their kid is the next Messi was on the supposedly weaker B team (along with my kid, who should be on the weaker B team). She immediately starts campaigning to have him switched because there's NO way he should be on the weaker of the teams. Coach says whatever, moves him.
Turns out that the brand new kids that got put on the "stronger" team are actually a trainwreck and my kid's team got the best out of the newer kids. Also, the returning kids that got put on the stronger team aren't really doing as well this year.
Our team won the beginning of year tournament, theirs did not. Our team won half of the games in fall, their team lost all except one. They've lost every single one of their indoor games, we've won them all.
Annoying mom tried to get her son switched again, club told her pound sand.
