My family is in Chicago. I’ve been removed from there since 1996. It doesn’t make any sense to go back there and be buried. She had 0 ties there, so it’s a non-starter. If I was buried here in NC, non of my family would visit the grave site, it would be a waste. Down the road from where she grew up is her family’s cemetery. Her parents will be buried there. Her older relatives are there. She plans on being buried there. So she said why wouldn’t you be buried with/near me. Makes sense, I just hope I can do a green burial there.
