aerodynamics matter much, much more than weight when it comes to EV range. In the video below, they run an experiment between a heavy trailer and a non-aerodynamic trailer. It seems like the airflow is the bigger driver. Also, the Tesla Model Y is heavier than the Kia EV6, though I think they're not that much different in size. The Kia *feels* more substantial than the Tesla.
Previous Message The heavier the car, the shorter the range, etc.... Is this only a Tesla issue or is it the same for the whole EV world? I've never driven in any type of EV.
