Previous Message I’m pretty sure that colleges (DI, perhaps just Power 4 and select others) will tire of this NIL mess and declare their student athletes to be professionals. The schools will pay the players directly and eliminate the 4-5 year eligibility rules. Players can play for the school as long as they want/can. Think something like the G League. If the players are good enough, they can be drafted/signed to the NFL or NBA. If not, they can sign contracts to play for the school of their choice. Instead of washing out in the “big leagues” after 2-3 years, they can make a good living playing for colleges. Think Tony DeVito or Sam Howell or Kofi. I think within 5-10 years. Or do you think this will never happen?
