But when anyone in the media talks about the Patriots, it all seems to be couched in “they definitely have a franchise QB and now they just need to do XYZ…” Whereas almost all seem to be in agreement that Caleb still has a lot to prove. I don’t even disagree with the latter, but I remain confused at this consensus opinion that Drake Maye has already established himself as a proven stud. 15 TD’s to 10 INT’s vs. Caleb’s 20 to 6. QB ratings are nearly identical (88.1 vs. 87.8). Averaged about 20 more yards passing per start than Caleb so it’s not like there was a huge difference in volume. It’s just bizarre.
