picked up Larkin Poe's new disc titled "Bloom". Their release last year, "Blood Harmony" won The Grammy for Best Contemporary Blues Album.  Previous Message
Yet another new release Friday is here with a big ole nothing. Thinking back, I am struggling to remember much dropping since last summer.
It's not a numbers issue either, there is no shortage of bands I follow who have up until recently been hitting the studio and are still out on the road every year. I just don't recall this much of a gap in new tunes (and I'm not expecting bands who released something last year immediately following that up, I've just always had a handful of new albums every month across the board)
Don't know if it's a seasonal thing, related to the economy/politics, just an off time for the styles I like, or an overall industry trend. How's it looking for anyone else?
