I don’t want to see a bunch of SEC vs. SEC or B1G vs. B1G matchups in the playoffs. Once you seed based on merit, there is hardly ever going to be anyone outside the top 6 that can actually win 4 games. So I’d rather have more unique matchups and have the regular season for more teams/conferences.  Previous Message
The basketball tourney has so many spots available that while you’re not taking the 64 (or 68) best teams you’re still taking the top 30+, which is essentially anyone that has a legit shot at winning the thing
If the 4th best team in either the BT or the SEC aren’t already ranked high enough to get in eighth out the this requirement then I don’t want them getting in
