Washington Square Park. Get 1 sandwich for 3 people to share from Faicco's. Old school NYC staple and really good. Take the Staten Island ferry to see the Statue of Liberty. It is free. There are always hustlers trying to sell tickets to it. Don't fall for it. Once in Staten Island, immediately come back to the city. Unless you really want Sri Lankan or Albanian food, come back right away. The Oculus is an architectural marvel. Go to the WTC memorial. Do not go to the Museum. It is trauma porn and will make you ill for weeks. Central Park is overrated, Prospect Park is better. Brooklyn is great if you are willing to go out there Katz's is the tourist food trap where New Yorkers actually go. I could go on for hours about food. I have bias towards Harry's. I am the GM and Corporate Wine Director. I think it is the best Steakhouse in New York but I am biased. Used to love Keen's, but I don't give money to Tilman Fertilla. Previous Message 3 days over spring break with 2 reasonably sophisticated teenagers. What should we do, where should we eat?
