were Christian Missionaries in what is now North Korea. True story, my Grandma and her brother (RIP - damn polio) were born in North Korea. Growing up I remember my grandma typing out letters my great grandparents had written to their families in the states while they were overseas. They are remarkable to read. Anyway, I completely forgot when my grand parents moved from their house to Homewood to a retirement home in Orland, I took one of these rugs brought back over from my great grandparents. I guess I had put it in the closet nearly a decade ago and just found it. We've done some research and it looks like it's a Chinese Peking rug from the 1920s! Unsure of it's worth (not like I'd sell anyway) but seems to be in decent shape for being over 100 years old. I love this stuff.  |
