You ought it get it appraised before you decide to use it for daily use Previous Message were Christian Missionaries in what is now North Korea. True story, my Grandma and her brother (RIP - damn polio) were born in North Korea. Growing up I remember my grandma typing out letters my great grandparents had written to their families in the states while they were overseas. They are remarkable to read. Anyway, I completely forgot when my grand parents moved from their house to Homewood to a retirement home in Orland, I took one of these rugs brought back over from my great grandparents. I guess I had put it in the closet nearly a decade ago and just found it. We've done some research and it looks like it's a Chinese Peking rug from the 1920s! Unsure of it's worth (not like I'd sell anyway) but seems to be in decent shape for being over 100 years old. I love this stuff.
