 Previous MessageYour contribution to this thread has given me a “MY GYIRL, MY GYIRL, DON’T LIE TO ME!’ brain worm that has lasted for damn near a whole week. Previous MessageFor a couple reasons… 1) If you grew up in the 90’s liking grunge music, this has to be the quintessential “that’s what it’s like to be a rock star” performance. Just a solo shirtless heartthrob dude grinding away at an electric guitar with no backing vocals or instruments while playing a pretty iconic song in front of 100,000 sweaty/high/drunk/angry young people. 2) For the reasons mentioned above it’s kind of a great encapsulation of that era of music, but also more or less signified the end of it. I believe this was the last night before things really went to shit at Woodstock and the Limp Bizkit/Korn/etc. era was officially ushered in from that point forward. ?si=pcfVZtWE7fUM-eC8 |
