Trump disagreed. The reporter said "he didn't have the letters M S 1 3." Trump responds "it says M S 1 [one] 3 [three]."
The reporter said "he did have tattoos that can be interpreted that way," Trump said "no no he had M S as clear as can be, not interpreted."
What other way is there to interpret what he is saying?

Abrego Garcia has tattoos on his knuckles that symbolically spell out “MS-13.”
This is clearly what Trump is referring to when he says he literally has tattoos that spell out MS-13.
To give the most uncharitable reading possible and to then claim it’s photoshopped is ridiculous to me and I think a poor line to take. I think it reflects poorly.
I know this clip is making the rounds on leftist social media because people want to believe that Trump is uniquely stupid and fooled by the image that he displayed that showed a key to images.
But of course imo that also highlights a separate issue of these clips out of context being shared virally on either side.
I think in general the reporter here comes off poorly.
I think legacy media needs to reflect how they challenge the president because I think picking these battles shown in this clip blows back on them. If you show a person an image of his actual tattoos and inform them of how it spells out MS-13 they will defer to the presidents side.
