FIFA agreed to switch the time due to weather conditions (real concerns) - FIFA told the Mexican officials that they couldn’t announce it because it had to come to FIFA and not them. A high ranking official leaked it anyway and then FIFA told them fuck off because they told them to wait. Mexico wanted the noon kickoff time because the heat and conditions benefited them - and crowd control would’ve been easier in some sense but the prize was the conditions and that’s what they wanted England calling to keep it such as original was totally fine even if it delayed the game which it obviously did  Previous Messageand for good reason!
