It's basically just do 30 minutes on an app a week. Almost everything else is done in class. maybe every now and then but not every night. kids need time to recharge and do other stuff. I agree with down below maybe 30-60 minutes on the regular. If you are in a middle school and teachers are unaware what the others are doing, they should be. If this is the beginning of middle school they should really be taking care of “the whole kid” as they enter these waters and not starting them with Stress Bombs. usually reading and maybe one assignment. 2.5-3 is nuts. The teachers at our school said that if your kid is doing multiple hours of homework a night, to ask to the teacher about it, because it might be a sign that there's some other issue to work out.
