Please note that Boffer had been confirmed by the Royal Collection that it was the same brooch ! an other mystery solved ! -

I am sure we should ask for information concerning the lozenge and the sapphire tiara worn by Princess Margaret. Maybe they would answer !

It is obvious that the jewels given by QEII and QEQM to Princess Diana returned to the vault after her death...it must be the same for the sapphire and diamond brooch.
