Extreme Elite used to be Orland Park As. The A’s organization used to be a great organization and then Krista Stoker talked the powers that be into letting her run the organization and that was the beginning of the end. She ran the organization into the ground but surely milked everything she could to keep S2 Breakthrough/OGX a float in the meantime. The best part of all of this is when the A’s moved to Extreme Elite we all eventually found out that Extreme Elite is ran by her brother. So all this time the A’s and Extreme Elite teams have been paying OGX for training and facilities. How convenient.
If you don’t train at OGX you better be a great player because if you struggle at any point you will be told it’s because you didn’t train at OGX. One would think it would be great to have a coach that is actually your coach for training as well. That has a host of other issues and it was a nightmare when you wanted to seek additional help.
The specialty at OGX is pitching, hitting is just a throw in. The weight training was a joke. They try to hang their hat on Katie Stewart but if you do a little research you will find that Texas had to make changes to her swing. It was talked about during one of the Texas games on TV, ouch. It’s really a metrics facility at best.
I would always look at a teams GC if you are looking to make a change. I went back and looked at their last two weekends. 176 AB, 40 hits and 42 strikeouts. If my math is correct that’s .228 team avg. As Parent noted in their post they still workout at OGX so that would be a concern if the team had a .228 hitting avg and you’re basically forced to do your hitting there.
It appears you are doing your homework which is a good. I would keep digging.
