I don't think you could be more wrong about your statement that throwing on the run way more a baseball thing.

There are far more close plays at first base in softball than there is in baseball. Which means there is more use for throwing on the run.

When was the last time you watched a baseball game? Infielders in baseball have all day to throw the ball in comparison to a softball game.
