I have a college player that is a slapper and plays third base. Throwing on the run to beat a slapper is a very low percentage play. Because my daughter has the foot speed and the arm strength she does not need the low percentage throw on the run to beat a slapper. I will admit, she did do it at camps during recruiting because that is what coaches wanted to see.
