No offense, but I have a kid who spent 7 years coaching DI, and I never once saw them recruit a kid because of connections. I have seen them take a Bandit kid if they were choosing, equal talent, between a Bandit kid and a kid from a "less competitive" program. Why, because the talent pool is deep, and they help recruit their teammates.
